Pocahontas Trail Festival 2026

The Pocahontas Trail Festival begins in a grass field near the boat launch within Pocahontas State Park, Chesterfield, Virginia, approximately 1.5 miles past the entrance station. Two trail races are offered: a 10k and a half marathon, both commencing at 9 am with chip timing and live results. The 10k follows a loop, and the half marathon completes a larger loop, incorporating the initial 10k route. The course was modified from a predominantly fire-road path to a more trail-oriented race. The half marathon incorporates the park’s newer Coop and Trooper Trails, noted for their consistent, runnable terrain. Participants gather near black and orange tents by the boat launch, and the event provides custom Pocahontas Trail Fest merchandise.
