Over deze race
ECT 15 starts and finishes in Courmayeur, the Italian Alpine village at the foot of Mont Blanc. It is a summer trail race in the HOKA UTMB Mont-Blanc series, with 15 km of running and 1200 m of climbing packed into a short course. The time limit is 4 hours 30 minutes, so it asks for steady climbing legs rather than just speed on flat ground.
The route climbs progressively above Courmayeur toward the balconies of the Aosta Valley, with runners facing Mont Blanc before looping back to town. UTMB describes it as a short format that is not simple: by trail-running “kilometer effort” counting, its 15 km plus 1200 m of ascent works out to 27 km-effort. It suits runners who want a compact but serious test inside the Mont-Blanc race week atmosphere.
