Over deze race
The Warrington Running Festival is a town-centre running event in Warrington, taking place on a September Sunday morning. It features multiple distances, including a half marathon, a 10K, and a Fun Run / Junior Race, accommodating experienced runners, newer participants, and children.
The festival returns to Warrington Town Centre, billed as the world's first free-to-enter running festival. Many participants run for #TeamRoccos, raising funds for St. Rocco's Hospice, which provides care for individuals in Warrington with life-limiting illnesses and supports their families. Charity entries include fundraising assistance and a custom running vest, with minimum sponsorship levels determined by distance. Marshals will guide and encourage runners along the course, an event village will offer refreshments, and participants can purchase a Warrington Running Festival T-shirt to benefit the hospice.
