The Legacy Run A 5K For Peace & Prevention

The Legacy Run A 5K For Peace & Prevention is a 5K race in Huntsville, Alabama, taking place in September. It begins at Aldridge Creek Greenway and is presented by the Jarrod Michael Lockett Foundation. The event is designed for runners, walkers, families, and supporters, not exclusively competitive racers. All ages and fitness levels are welcome, with awards for overall finishers and the top three male and female runners. The race directly supports violence prevention efforts. Proceeds fund youth mentorship, community outreach, education, conflict resolution, and empowerment programs. Participants may submit the name and photo of a loved one lost to violent crime to be displayed at the start and finish.
