O wyścigu
The Stadtparktriathlon FC St. Pauli takes place in Hamburg’s Stadtpark, a large city park often called Hamburg’s green lung. Held in early September, it provides several short-format options instead of a single race, with listed triathlon distances of approximately 2.5 km, 10.9 km, and 25.5 km. The most popular choice is Triathlon S: a 500 m swim, 20 km bike ride, and 5 km run. Recent race-day conditions were mild, with an average temperature around 16.6°C and light wind.
The setting is compact and urban-green, with the race routed around Stadtpark’s lakes and ponds rather than a point-to-point course through the city. The shorter formats make it accessible for beginners, while experienced athletes can use the longer option for a focused effort. Children and juniors have their own XS races, including a 400 m swim, 8 km bike ride, and 2.5 km run, plus an even shorter version with a 100 m swim. Relay entries are also offered, allowing teams to divide the swim, bike, and run. The FC St. Pauli designation links the event to one of Hamburg’s most recognizable sports clubs.
