O wyścigu
GFNY Lourdes Tourmalet is a June gran fondo held in Lourdes, Hautes-Pyrénées, southwest France. This 157-kilometer road cycling race features 4,064 meters of climbing, designed for riders capable of sustained mountain efforts rather than flat speed. The event is part of the GFNY Global Endurance series, offering amateur cyclists a timed race format with podiums, age-group competition, and the brand’s “Pro for a day” experience.
The route’s main climbs are Col d’Aspin and Col du Tourmalet, two Pyrenees passes with significant Tour de France history. Tourmalet holds the record for the most frequent climb in Tour history. Over 1,000 riders have participated, with strong front-end competition attracting GFNY champions and local French racers. Participants receive the series jersey, five aid stations, and a course known for its challenging amount of climbing within a single day.
