Marlow Half Marathon, The Frankenstein & Marlow 7

The Marlow races begin on the High Street in Marlow, a town on the Thames, with race headquarters located at Marlow Sports Club. Marlow Striders organize the yearly charity series, offering runners three options: the Marlow Half Marathon, the Marlow 7 Mile, and The Frankenstein, a multi-terrain race of about 10K. The half marathon and 7-mile races follow circular routes along quiet country lanes in the Chiltern Hills. Organizers describe both as challenging rather than flat or easy. The Frankenstein course consists of roughly one-third road and two-thirds trails. Its name is a nod to Mary Shelley, who finished writing "Frankenstein" during her time in Marlow. The routes are fully marked and marshalled, with mile markers provided for the road races.
