Everyone Runs Catalina State Park 50-Year Trail Race and 5k Trail Run & Walk

The 50-Year Trail Race and 5k Trail Run & Walk takes place in Catalina State Park, north of Tucson near Oro Valley, on an October Sunday. The longer race is a 9.3-mile trail run with a 3-hour cutoff, while the 5k offers a shorter option on park trails for runners and walkers. The 9.3-mile course begins on the Nature Trail, continues onto the Bridal Trail, then ascends 2.7 miles up the 50-Year Trail. Participants turn around at a gate and return down the same path to finish on the Bridal Trail. The 5k route utilizes the Nature Trail and Bridal Trail. Registration covers a homemade Mexican breakfast, doughnuts, fruit, nuts, and complimentary professional race photos. Finishers receive shirts, and top placers get age-group medals or Fleet Feet running shoes. Discounts are available for teachers, police, fire, EMTs, and military veterans or active-duty members.
