NIRCA Cross Country Open 6K

The NIRCA Cross Country Open 6K is a public cross-country race held at the Blue River Cross Country Course in Shelbyville, Indiana. It takes place annually prior to the National Intercollegiate Running Club Association National Championships, sharing the same event day as the top collegiate club competition. The race covers a distance of 6K, with a morning start and a one-hour duration. The field is open to a broad range of participants beyond typical college club runners: local athletes, middle school and high school students competing post-season, NIRCA alumni, ineligible runners, parents, spectators, and fans of collegiate club running are all welcome. Spikes are permitted, and the race proceeds regardless of weather conditions. Online registration concludes shortly before race day, with late registration offered at the course. The entry fee is $30 until a later price increase.
