From Kamemoto-go in Hinohara Village, the course enters the "mountain running" territory of the summer tournament "Suika Junrei" within the Hinohara Mountain Challenge Series. The objective is straightforward: begin in Tokyo’s sole village, then proceed "traversing peaks in the southern region" and continue along the ridges. Anticipate an extended period of ridge travel, involving significant climbing and descending, with passage checks and cutoff times ensuring a demanding race. Aid stations are located at the foothills, establishing a rhythm of committing to the mountains, reaching checkpoints, descending to resupply, and then ascending again to continue the effort.
