Sobre esta prova
The Artur Hajzer “Słoń” Mountain Race is a short mountain-style run within Roman Kozłowski Park, known as Kopa Cwila, located in Warsaw’s Ursynów district near the Ursynów metro station. The total distance is 5.5 km, consisting of five laps on a 1.1 km loop. This format means runners encounter the same climbs repeatedly, differing from a long point-to-point course. Participation is permitted for individuals aged 15 and older, with minors requiring written guardian consent. Timing is managed using RFID chips attached to race numbers.
The course follows park paths featuring varied terrain: grass, cobblestones, and asphalt. Each lap incorporates two uphill segments, earning the race its mountain-run designation despite its Warsaw location. The route remains accessible to pedestrians and cyclists, positioning it as a compact city-park event rather than a closed-road race. Organized by the Polish Mountaineering Support Foundation, participants are awarded a medal. The finish area offers drinks and snacks, but participants should come prepared as there are no changing facilities or baggage storage.
