Sobre esta prova
Hajnowska Dwunastka begins in the Hajnówka Forest District, offering participants a 12 km course through forest paths within the Białowieża Forest. Organized by the Sports and Recreation Center and the Hajnówka Forest District, this autumn event caters to runners who favor woodland trails. The name "Dwunastka" refers to the Polish word for “twelve”; a 5 km option is also available.
The course is straightforward: each kilometer is marked, water is provided at the halfway point, and electronic timing is used. The event is characterized as local and intimate, differing from large urban races. Participants receive personalized commemorative medals, the top three in each category are awarded trophies, overall winners get cups, the best teams receive surprise prizes, and all runners are offered a hot meal post-race. It is also referred to as the "younger sister" of the Hajnówka Half Marathon.
