Sobre esta prova
The Diamond Mountain Triathlon is a midday race series held at Lake Welch Beach in Harriman State Park, near Stony Point, New York. Participants can opt for a triathlon, featuring a 0.5-mile swim, a 15-mile bike ride, and a 2-mile run, or a duathlon, which includes a 2-mile run, the same 15-mile bike ride, and a second 2-mile run. The event proceeds regardless of weather and is designed to be accessible for newcomers while offering a competitive challenge for experienced athletes.
The triathlon begins with a swim in the lake, followed by a bike course on rolling park roads, concluding with a run along the lake to the finish. Controlled intersections, course markers, volunteer support, photographers, and complimentary parking contribute to a well-organized event. Junior athletes aged 15 to 18 participate without charge. Triathlon participants receive a jersey, duathlon participants receive a running jersey, all who finish are awarded medals, and the top adult male and female triathlon winners get champion suits.
