Sobre esta prova
The Kiwanis River Run is an annual spring paddling race on the Pewaukee River in Wisconsin. It starts in Pewaukee and finishes at Frame Park in Waukesha. This canoe and kayak event for local paddlers has a history of more than 50 years, with proceeds supporting the Pewaukee Food Pantry.
The route begins on flatter upper water, then becomes tighter, faster, and rougher near the lower end. Organizers advise paddlers to wear personal flotation devices, dress for cold water, and anticipate the possibility of capsizing; spotters are stationed at the most challenging sections to provide assistance. The race includes canoes, single kayaks, and double kayaks, with rentals available through PRS Watersports.
