Sobre esta prova
MJ's Stampede begins and ends on the Greg Smith River Trail at 121 Riverfront Drive in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Runners will gather by the river for an 8 a.m. start. The series includes a certified 5K run, a certified 10K run, a timed 5K walk, and a Sleep In donation option for those who wish to support the event without participating in a race. The 10K is significant as it is the RRCA Championship race for Arkansas and also counts in the RRCA Grand Prix as a non-championship race.
The race now takes place at a riverfront location featuring the Riverfront Amphitheater, situated near the U.S. Marshals Museum. Mary Jo Brinkman initiated the Stampede in Van Buren, where it was held for four years before relocating to Chaffee Crossing for an additional four years. The event expanded from approximately 100 to 200 runners in Van Buren to over 400 participants. Its inclusion in the Arkansas Grand Prix attracts more competitive runners, joining local runners, walkers, and supporters.
