Ocean View Half Marathon & 5K

The Ocean View Half Marathon & 5K begins and ends in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Both races follow the Great Neck coastline in November. The half marathon is a USATF-certified 13.1-mile course, and the event is USATF sanctioned. Participants can select the half marathon or the 5K, with a less expensive kids 5K option for ages 12 and under. This race has been held for over ten years and is listed on the YuKanRun calendar. The course winds along coastal roads, passing ocean views and some of the region's oldest residences, including homes built before the American Revolution. The event is designed for both recreational runners and competitive age-group racers. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in five-year age groups, and all participants in both distances receive finisher medals. YuKanRun provides numerous items on race day: shirts, race bags, phone armbands, complimentary photos, result notifications, on-course hydration and nutrition, and post-race certificates. The finish area offers a relaxed, local atmosphere with fresh coffee, pizza, and baked goods available. The half marathon also contributes to YuKanRun’s Six Pack Half Marathon Challenge and Grand Tour, attracting some runners as part of a larger New England race series.
