Oklahoma Fallen Heroes

Oklahoma Fallen Heroes is an annual Oklahoma City race held at Meridian Landing on the OKC River Trails. It features a half marathon, 10K run, and 5K run/walk. The event benefits the Oklahoma National Guard Fallen Heroes Scholarship Fund and honors twenty individuals from the Guard community: nineteen servicemembers and one sister who passed away after 9/11. The half marathon follows a flat, out-and-back course on the River Trails greenway. The route has wide pavement, little elevation change, aid stations, live timing, and a four-hour time limit. A remembrance ceremony begins at the start, proceeds past banners along the course, and concludes with a tribute at the finish. Each marker displays a fallen hero’s photo and a brief biography. The race is accurately measured but not USATF-sanctioned. Entry includes a race shirt.
