Draisinenlauf Altenglan is a summer half marathon held in Altenglan, within the Kusel district of Rhineland-Palatinate. The race begins and ends on Austraße, utilizing the Glan-Blies cycle path which follows a disused trolley line instead of public roads. Participants can complete the entire 21.0975 km distance individually, or divide the half marathon among a 2-person or 4-person relay team.
The course is officially measured, predominantly asphalt, and notably flat with only 45 meters of elevation gain, making it suitable for runners aiming for a personal best. LSC Athlon Kusel is the organizing body, providing electronic timing and divisions for general participants, corporate teams, and relay groups. Additionally, shorter races are available for younger participants, featuring 2.6 km and 1.3 km routes, and the event is included in the regional Laufladen-Cup series.
