The Petjada. Volta Terme Sant Joan de Moró is a mountain trail and walking event held in Sant Joan de Moró, within Spain’s Castellón province. It features two marked routes: the full Petjada, approximately 19.5 km, and the shorter Mitja Petjada, about 9.8 km. The longer route is challenging because of its distance, involving around 900 m of elevation gain and 956 m of descent. The event is conducted as a non-competitive hiking test, not a timed race.
The routes traverse rural paths within the Sant Joan de Moró municipal area, including aid stations and checkpoints. Participants are allotted up to five hours to complete their chosen route, making the event appropriate for walkers and trail runners seeking a structured mountain excursion. The format is designed for groups, friends, and families, adhering to the local Volta al terme tradition, which involves a circuit around the town's territory rather than a linear race.
