The Pumpkin Marathon & Spooky Halloween Challenge | 2026

The Pumpkin Marathon and Spooky Halloween Challenge are small Halloween-themed races held on Burroughs Bank in Lightmoor, Telford, with race HQ at TF4 3QS. The Pumpkin Marathon begins in the morning, and the Spooky Halloween Challenge begins late in the day. Each race is limited to 40 runners and has a 6-hour cutoff. Organisers are open to discussing extended time limits via email. The format involves multiple laps, allowing runners to pass support frequently instead of completing a single long point-to-point route. An aid station is positioned every mile, offering water, squash, coke, sweets, and other refreshments, with marshals stationed around the course. Fancy dress is encouraged for both races. The evening Spooky event includes a practical Halloween element: runners require head torches for the lanes surrounding Lightmoor. Parking is available within a 5-minute walk of the start.
