Marina 2 Marina is shaped by London Quay and the Picton waterfront. This annual trail running and walking event takes place in the "heart of the Marlborough Sounds." The courses traverse native bush, waterfront tracks, and coastal paths connecting Waikawa, Queen Charlotte Sound, and Anakiwa Bay. It offers a genuine day out on local trails rather than a road race with scenery. The long route begins at Anakiwa Bay and descends toward Picton via bush trails. The Snout section features "challenging hill climbs and views over the Sounds," rewarding participants with scenic vistas. Beginners can opt for the Picton-to-Waikawa track, and children have a dedicated dash around the marina. All participants converge for a lively finish on the Picton waterfront, complete with aid stations, market stalls, entertainment, and a "festival atmosphere" that encourages lingering post-run.
