Bieg Ursynowa is a 5 km road race held on June 5 in Warsaw’s Ursynów district, taking place on Aleja Komisji Edukacji Narodowej, often called Aleja KEN. The course is asphalt, certified by PZLA, features kilometer markers, and includes a traffic-free section of the avenue for the event. Registration is limited to approximately 2,000 to 2,200 participants, making it a well-attended city race, though smaller than major mass-participation events.
The route is designed for speed. It is largely flat, primarily following the broad Aleja KEN, and consists almost entirely of two lengthy straightaways with minimal turns. This configuration makes it a favored 5 km competition for amateur runners and a course conducive to setting personal bests for faster runners and professionals. The race has been held for more than a dozen years, is a consistent fixture in Warsaw's running schedule, and has previously served as the venue for the Polish Championships in 5 km road running.
