Om detta lopp
The Sri Chinmoy Mara-Fun Relays offer a marathon-distance relay event held in Centennial Park, Sydney. All categories commence from the same park location in the morning. Teams have the option to divide the 42.2 km distance among two, three, or four participants, or a single runner can complete the entire marathon. The event is structured around 11 legs, providing runners with a looped course instead of a point-to-point marathon.
The course features a flat, paved 4 km loop within the southwestern section of Centennial Park. This route winds past ponds and wooded areas before looping back to the original start-finish point. The marathon distance is achieved through 10 complete loops combined with an initial 2.2 km leg. Aid stations are positioned every 2 km, supplying water, sports drinks, and fruit. Electronic chip timing is used to record each leg's split times. The Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team is the organizer, and the event is suitable for relay teams, individuals new to marathons, and runners who prefer consistent pacing on a closed park circuit.
