Bachelor Summit Trailfest 2026

Bachelor Summit Trailfest takes place on Mount Bachelor in the Central Oregon Cascades, with race operations based at West Village Lodge and Pine Marten Lodge, situated 1,400 feet higher. This October event features multiple trail races: 6-hour, 12-hour, and 24-hour timed Summit Loop races, alongside the Summit Vista 16K and Cloudchaser 12K. The timed races commence and conclude at Pine Marten Lodge, positioning them as the West Coast's highest-elevation timed races. The 16K and 12K begin and end at West Village Lodge, offering participants shorter, steep courses on the same mountain. The Summit Loop spans 4.77 miles per circuit, with each lap involving a 1,785-foot elevation change between approximately 7,280 and 9,027 feet. The Summit Vista 16K is a 10.11-mile loop featuring 2,714 feet of climbing and two aid stations, located at the summit and Pine Marten Lodge. The Cloudchaser 12K measures 7.38 miles with 1,404 feet of climbing. Participants and their support teams access Pine Marten Lodge via the Pine Marten Chairlift, included with registration, and drop bags for timed races are transported up the mountain. Vehicle and RV camping options are available at West Village Lodge, with additional sites near Bend and within Deschutes National Forest. These races occur on lands historically belonging to the Tenino, Wasco, Warm Springs, and Northern Paiute peoples, with a portion of race proceeds aiding local artist and trail runner Megan Myers during her brain cancer treatment.
