THE OX 24 Hour Run

The Ox 24 Hour Run is a 100 km challenge held in Lennox Head, NSW, Australia, starting at Reflections Caravan Park. Participants begin on a Saturday morning and continue for 24 hours, completing a 4.2 km loop each hour, on the hour. Solo runners complete all laps individually, while teams of 2 or 4 divide the laps, ensuring at least one member runs each hourly loop. The race concept is straightforward but demanding. The continuous hourly resets and brief rest periods present a significant challenge. The objective is to cover 100 km or more by the event's conclusion. Success depends on effective pacing, nutrition, rest management, and mental fortitude, alongside running ability. This event is organized by Lennox Runners and RUN DIPG as a fundraiser. It benefits families impacted by diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma and commemorates Frankie Willow Fitzgerald, who passed away at age 9.
