The Rushmoor Wellesley 10k begins on the polo fields across from the Military Athletics Stadium on Queens Avenue and concludes within the stadium. This 10k is run by the community, near Aldershot, and is organized by Blackwater Valley Runners alongside GRNC, the Greater Rushmoor Nepali Community. Participants collect race materials in person. The setup is practical, including chip timing, toilets, free parking, a clearly marked route, and numerous marshals. Club runners may use an England Athletics or Association of Running Clubs discount, and a subsidized race T-shirt can typically be added before race day.
The course is very flat, utilizing the footpaths of Wellesley Woodlands and the Basingstoke Canal towpath. This makes it suitable for runners aiming for a fast 10k time or those using it as an autumn test. Previous participants have noted its good organization and its value as practice for cross-country, particularly when wet weather makes the woodland paths and canal towpath slick. While there are no significant inclines, wet conditions can transform the flat route into a test of focus, with puddles and mud becoming factors later on. All finishers receive a unique medal, with the design changing annually to feature a different Aldershot landmark.
