The Pisa Half Marathon begins and ends by the Leaning Tower, offering participants the city’s most famous landmark at the start and finish. This 21.097 km road race in Pisa is held as both a competitive FIDAL event and a non-competitive recreational run, commencing at 9:00 a.m. The race is known as one of Italy’s faster half marathons, suitable for those aiming for a personal best and for individuals new to the distance.
The route winds through San Rossore Regional Park, crosses Pisa’s districts, and visits historical sites before looping back towards the tower. The course is certified by AIMS–World Athletics and FIDAL, with race-day amenities such as chip timing, aid stations, and a race pack provided. Participants can register via FIDAL, RunCard, or a recognized foreign club membership; non-registered foreign runners may opt for the non-competitive tourist entry. The event, established in 2007, holds FIDAL Bronze Label Status and directs all proceeds to charity annually.
