E20loppet, Mariestad 2026

E20loppet offers participants the chance to run, jog, or walk on the newly constructed E20 road in Mariestad before it opens to vehicular traffic. This unique event provides approximately 3 km, 6 km, and 11 to 12 km course lengths, accommodating families, casual walkers, club runners, and competitive racers on the same road segment prior to its integration into normal infrastructure. The course follows the new E20 road from Mariestad towards Hassle. The start and finish are situated near Trafikplats Brodderud and road 202, at the location designated for Volvo Group's future battery factory. Mariestads FK and Mariestads AIF are organizing the race in collaboration with Volvo, Veidekke, Trafikverket, Mariestads kommun, and local partners, transforming a construction site into a public gathering space for this single day.
