About this race

Trollhättan City Trail is a trail race in central Trollhättan, starting and finishing at Folkets Park. It has been held since 2016, originating from Trollhättan Action Week, and now features its own race day with multiple distances: a 0.8 km Mini Trail for children, an 8.5 km Light route, the 14 km Original, and a 22.5 km Halvmara+ route. The Light distance is open to walkers, joggers, and runners. The Mini Trail is for ages 0-12, with no timing, no competition, and no pressure. The main route goes south from Folkets Park toward Hansenplatsen and follows the canal on narrow paths, stairs, hilly terrain, and short gravel or asphalt sections. Participants pass Kopparklinten, Gamle dal, the locks, Olidan, and Kungsgrottan before returning through town to Folkets Park. The longer Halvmara+ includes an additional loop on the other side of the canal near the locks, featuring more small technical trails. The 8.5 km and 14 km races also have separate start classes for runners with dogs on a leash, with the dog group starting after the other runners have departed.
