Dog Days ULTRA 2026

Dog Days ULTRA is a timed ultra at Big Sky Park in Missoula, Montana, offering 24-hour, 12-hour, 6-hour, and 3-hour options. Runners complete laps on a closed 1.68-mile loop, aiming to cover as much distance as possible before their time limit. The event accommodates solo runners and relay teams; the 24-hour relay allows teams of 2 to 6 people. The loop consists mainly of crushed gravel with minimal elevation gain per lap, simplifying pacing, crew support, rest, and team transitions. The park setting provides 360-degree views of Missoula's surrounding mountains throughout the race. This event is noted as Missoula's first closed-loop course ultra, with proceeds benefiting the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula.
