The Healthy Kids Running Series in Nocatee, Florida, is a five-week running program for children in Pre-K through 8th grade. Families participate weekly during the spring series, with race distances tailored to age groups: 50- and 75-yard dashes, quarter-mile and half-mile runs, and a 1-mile run. Each child earns points for every race completed, based on their placing, making the series feel like a short season rather than a single event.
Registration includes all five weeks, weekly race bibs, a runner shirt, a finisher medal, and sponsor giveaways. Children interested in a single race can register on race day, with single-day sign-ups opening one hour before the start. The series also features a Challenger Division, an adaptive 75-yard race for children with disabilities or special needs. In this division, parents, siblings, and friends can run with participants, and children may use support devices like braces, crutches, or wheelchairs.
