The Baystate Dirty Dog Trail Run-Ruck-Walk 5k

The Baystate Dirty Dog Trail Run-Ruck-Walk 5k is a fall trail event in Berkley, Massachusetts, with one practical idea at its center: participants can run it, ruck it with a weighted pack, walk it, or bring a leashed dog through a separate dog entry. The main distance is 3.1 miles, with an under-18 kids registration at the same distance and a 3-mile dog option. The course uses rugged natural trail, offering backwoods footing rather than smooth road racing. Fall conditions can make parts muddy or slippery, so sturdy footwear and care on uneven or wet ground are recommended. The race honors military personnel, first responders, and K-9 companions, fitting the ruck option and the dog-friendly setup. Dogs must remain leashed, have no bite history, and require their own added registration.
