The Wally Cairns Pancake Run is a Sunday cross-country event held in Kings Park, Perth, starting at May Drive Parkland. Organized by the West Australian Marathon Club, it welcomes both members and non-members. Participants can choose from 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km distances, with the longer runs consisting of one, two, or three laps of a 5 km circuit. A 15 km relay is also available, alongside a short 300 m run and a free 200 m Pikelet Kids Dash for children.
The course winds through grass and sandy paths within Kings Park, offering a parkland cross-country feel rather than a road race. This setup caters to serious runners seeking a challenging 10 km or 15 km run, while also accommodating casual participants, families, and children in the shorter races. The event's namesake feature follows the run: an included pancake breakfast transforms the morning into a relaxed, club-like gathering, extending beyond a simple finish.
