Minehead Cycling Club presents the Porlock Hill Climbs on September 20th, 2026. The event features two separate climbs: the Porlock Hill Main Road, a 1.25-mile climb with an average gradient of 12% and a steepest section of 25%, and the Porlock Hill Toll Road, a longer, more scenic 4.2-mile climb with an average gradient of 5.5%. The Main Road is known as the steepest A-road in the country, while the Toll Road is described as a perfectly engineered Alpine climb. Riders can enter one or both events, with a combined prize for the fastest overall time. The event headquarters will be at the Village Hall with parking and changing facilities at Porlock Recreation Ground.
