Resistência MTB Alcanena is an evening BTT endurance race in Alcanena, organized by the Núcleo de Cicloturismo de Alcanena. Riders start and finish at Praça 8 de Maio in the historic center, then repeat a closed 6 to 8 km circuit for either 2 hours or 3 hours. Both race formats begin together at 18:00, with lap cutoffs at 20:00 for the 2-hour race and 21:00 for the 3-hour race. The minimum age is 12, allowing younger riders and adults to participate.
The route combines town riding with off-road sections: streets, cobblestones, viewpoints, and dirt tracks are all part of the same short loop. Riders can inspect the course from 17:00 before racing starts, and the event concludes at 21:30 with awards at 21:45. Entry includes a bib, timing chip, classification, sponsor gifts, liquid refreshments, individual insurance, showers, and a bike-wash area. A simple volante dinner of soup, sandwich, and drink is also provided, giving the race a practical local-club feel beyond just a start line and a results sheet.
