The King Cares Annual 5K is a walk-run organized by King student-athletes from fall sports teams. Registration begins in the morning on Simon House Lawn, with the race commencing shortly thereafter. The event welcomes walkers and runners, offering distinct registration fees for adults and children aged 6-14, while children aged 5 and under can participate for free.
The race generates funds for the Boys and Girls Club of Stamford and the Orphaned Starfish Foundation. Participant fees and donations support the programs of these organizations, with contributions of any amount being welcome. For King students, this event is also a component of the school's community outreach efforts, providing them practical experience in supporting nonprofit programs locally and globally.
