O tomto závodu
The Wabash Trace Running Festival is a trail-running weekend in Shenandoah, Iowa, offering races from 1.6 km to the marathon. The primary races utilize the Wabash Trace Nature Trail, a crushed limestone rail-trail, providing runners a softer surface than typical road races. The marathon is a Boston Qualifier. The event also features a half marathon and a marathon relay for those preferring not to cover the full distance solo.
The marathon and relay begin in Shenandoah, pass Imogene, and return to Shenandoah. The half marathon starts in Imogene and concludes in Shenandoah. The course crosses rolling countryside, quiet farmland, and wooded sections, offering enough speed for many runners to pursue personal records. It attracts 50 States runners aiming to complete their list, alongside families, relay teams, first-time half marathoners, and local community support.
