Om dette løb
The Eden Project Marathon and Half Marathon are hilly multi-terrain races held at the Eden Project in Bodelva, Cornwall. Both distances begin and end at the site. Organized with St Austell Running Club for an October date, these races offer a full marathon or half marathon option through Clay Country, distinct from a flat road race. Organizers state it is Cornwall's largest running event, anticipating over 1,500 participants, ranging from seasoned club runners to first-time racers.
The route crosses reclaimed land, woodland paths, and open countryside. The longer course is known for its challenging ascents and rapid descents, and it goes through areas connected to Cornwall's mining history. All finishers get a themed medal, a pasty, and a beer. Prizes are available for overall and category winners. Family and supporters receive complimentary entry to the Eden Project on race day. Each event contributes approximately £7,500 to horticultural improvements for the charity.
