2026 AUSCYCLING VIC SCHOOLS MTB SERIES - ROUND 2

Round 2 of the AusCycling Victoria Schools MTB Series takes place at Lysterfield MTB Trail, accessed via the Hallam North Road entrance in Lysterfield South. This event is part of a multi-round Victorian series where students compete for their schools, with rounds held at various MTB clubs and trail locations. Registration opens at 8 am, with the first race commencing at 9 am. The entry fee is $30. Riders can select from short course options of 1.1 km, 2.4 km, or 4.1 km, accommodating both experienced young racers and those new to mountain biking. The venue is a dedicated trail system, emphasizing off-road riding, school participation, and introducing students to singletrack in a race setting. Lysterfield District Trail Riders are hosting this round, with mechanical support provided by Upcycles. The race village is restricted to pedestrian access, with parking available in the car park adjacent to the toilet block. Families should use the Hallam North Road entry and be aware of on-site parking fees. A coffee van and BBQ contribute to the atmosphere of a school sport day alongside the cycling competition, bringing together parents, club volunteers, novice riders, and experienced junior competitors.
