Margot Espresso Bar serves as the starting point: arrive at the French-inspired cafe on Queen Elizabeth Terrace, near the International Flag Display, and the Hosking Junior Bunch departs from there. It feels like a typical junior bunch ride, not a large, formal race. Cycling legend Chloe Hosking leads a ride paced for young riders, parents, new riders, and juniors from all clubs.
The route offers variety. Younger children have "shorts-cuts," and those who enjoy climbing can ascend Mugga Way. Older riders can test themselves on the race section from Mugga Way and Flinders Way to the road's end, while the group remains social, supportive, inclusive, and no-drop. The best tradition is the finish: everyone rides back to Margot for hot chocolates, coffees, and croissants.
