Tuncurry Holiday & Caravan Park serves as the starting point for a demanding adventure where the objective is to maintain team momentum when simpler options are unavailable. The Mountain Designs GeoQuest 48 Hour Adventure Race is described as the "ultimate test of your physical and mental limits," fitting for an event focused on collaboration, endurance, and adventure.
The race combines trekking, mountain biking, and kayaking, with teammates required to stay together throughout; it is not a relay, meaning no one can leave the course and consider their participation complete. A Full Course is available for teams seeking the complete challenge, alongside the Geo-Half for participants and outdoor enthusiasts interested in experiencing adventure racing. Expect minimal sleep, a strong urge to quit, and, if successful, the opportunity to "crawl across the finish line."
