Steel Sprint Triathlon

American Fork Recreation Center serves as the starting point, offering a straightforward triathlon setup rather than a large-scale event. This race is included in the USA Triathlon National Women's Race Series and features the familiar, practical organization that local runners and triathletes appreciate: transitions are set up near the ball fields, packet pickup occurs before race morning, and the field includes both apprehensive newcomers and seasoned competitors. The swim takes place in a serpentine path across six pool lanes. The bike course consists of two loops on roads through American Fork and Highland, utilizing Center Street, 600 North, 10400 North, and Alpine Hwy. The run is a single loop on local streets, with a "fun downhill last mile" noted, a detail that resonates during the final stretch of a race. Following the race, there will be an awards ceremony, prize drawings, an expo, and a pancake breakfast for participants and their guests.
