Traipu Run is a road race held in Traipu, Alagoas, with its event hub located on the city’s Nova Orla. Participants select either a 4 km or 8 km distance during registration, accommodating both novice runners and those seeking a more challenging local competition. The race is promoted by Dr. Valdério Neto, with assistance from the Municipality of Traipu.
Over 500 runners participated, including professional and amateur athletes from various regions of Alagoas. The Nova Orla functioned as the assembly area for warm-ups prior to the start. All finishers were awarded a medal, and the top three finishers in each category received cash prizes, a trophy, and a medal. Participants also received a kit, entry into a prize draw, and breakfast post-race. Traipu mayor Lucas Santos highlighted the participation numbers as evidence of the city's capacity to host significant sporting events and welcome athletes from throughout the state.
