The Meia Maratona Internacional de Curitiba begins and ends at Pedreira Paulo Leminski, an outdoor site in Curitiba's Abranches district. Participants can select either a 21 km half marathon or a 7 km race. The initial waves depart shortly after 6:00 am on a Sunday in June. The start is divided by field: elite runners depart first, followed by athletes with special needs, and then the general 21 km and 7 km fields.
The event is promoted by RPC and organized by Thome & Santos Eventos Esportivos. All finishers receive a participation medal. The top five male and female finishers in the 21 km overall classification will receive trophies and cash awards, with the winner earning R$10,000. Awards for age categories go to the top three finishers in the 21 km. The 7 km race rewards the top five overall finishers, and the largest running groups or clubs also compete for trophies and cash prizes.
