The Alicante-Santa Pola is a 21.0975 km half marathon on Spain's Costa Blanca. It begins in central Alicante at the Provincial Council palace gates and concludes at Varadero Beach in Santa Pola. This point-to-point coastal race, held in November, offers a fast course with long sections alongside the Mediterranean.
The route travels south from Alicante, exiting the city to follow the coast past El Palmeral Park, Urbanova, Arenales del Sol, the Carabassi coastline, and the Santa Pola Lighthouse road. Its notable feature is the series of blue-flag beaches along the path, uncommon for a half marathon. Runner feedback indicates a small, organized expo, limited restrooms, and slow return buses to Alicante.
