The Gran Fondo Internacional de Siete Aguas is a 15.150 km road race held in Siete Aguas, a municipality within the Valencian Community. This event, a summer classic with over 40 years of history, is part of the Diputación de Valencia Popular Races Circuit. The race begins in the evening, a practical choice given the August temperatures, and its distance remains challenging. This is not a simple flat course; the inclines are a defining characteristic.
The route takes participants through a demanding path featuring numerous steep ascents and expansive vistas surrounding Siete Aguas. Over the years, thousands of participants, ranging from amateurs to professionals, have completed the race. Many highlight the local spectators as a key factor in overcoming the more difficult sections. The event relies significantly on community involvement: the Town Hall and organizing committee manage it with the assistance of numerous volunteers, local groups, Civil Protection, the sports club, municipal staff, police, sponsors, businesses, and families who participate in the opening parade.
