The Palas de Rey Half Marathon, known as “Os 21 do Camiño,” is a June half marathon in Galicia, organized by Asociación Deportiva Cerne. It follows a section of the Camino de Santiago, connecting Palas de Rey with Melide instead of a city circuit.
The course combines dirt paths and asphalt, resembling a road-and-trail race more than a flat road half. Participants encounter several climbs, and the event quickly sells out, supported by positive participant feedback. Folk groups perform Galician bagpipes along the route, connecting the race to the Camino villages it crosses.
