Course Nature D'Ecordal

The Écordal Nature Discovery race begins at the school in Écordal, a small village in France's Ardennes region. It offers a 13 km nature trail course in September. This is a trail discovery race, not a road race, open to licensed and unlicensed runners from the cadet category upwards. The entry fee is modest, and bib pickup is available on race day at the village hall. The course quickly leaves the pavement for wooded paths, featuring approximately 220 meters of elevation gain over forest tracks and runnable trail sections. The event's appeal is its local and understated character: a village race where both regular participants and first-timers start together. The course includes several short ascents to vary the pace, and the forest environment provides the main attraction rather than elaborate event production.
