Défi du Crêt Monniot

The Défi du Crêt Monniot is a mountain race held in Arc-sous-Cicon, a village in the Doubs department of eastern France. Taking place in late September, the event focuses on the ascent of Crêt Monniot. Running distances vary by program source, with options around 5 km, 8.2 km, and 13 km. The primary timed competition features 4-hour and 6-hour formats over a 15.4 km out-and-back course from the village to the summit, including 487 m of elevation gain. The event accommodates various participants: cyclists can engage in combined disciplines, and walkers have two marked routes near Arc-sous-Cicon. One route is 8.5 km with 234 m of ascent, and the other is 13 km with 348 m. Race day also includes organ donation awareness activities with France ADOT25 and food service at the reception hall.
