Über dieses Rennen
The Endurance Trail de Bellefontaine in Champigneulles operates on an hourly loop system: complete a loop within one hour, rest if time allows, and begin the next loop on the following hour. The race is headquartered at the Complexe sportif de Bellefontaine in Champigneulles. The event features two timed endurance trail races, two shorter trail races, and a Nordic walk. The 8-hour race requires participants to run eight 7.5 km laps, each with 151 m of elevation gain, totaling a maximum of 60 km and 1,208 m of ascent. The 4-hour race consists of four 7 km laps with the same climb per lap, for a maximum of 30 km and 604 m of ascent.
This structure establishes clear and strict pacing: failing to finish a lap within the one-hour limit disqualifies you from the next start, though your completed lap is still counted. Standings are determined first by the number of laps finished, then by the total time for those laps, meaning quick early laps only benefit you if you consistently meet the hourly deadline. The single-loop races are simpler: a 22 km race with 461 m of climb, a 12 km race with 230 m, and a 14 km Nordic walk with 208 m. All these routes pass the Batterie de l'Eperon, where the aid station is located; participants must bring their own cup, and poles are required for the Nordic walk.
